Workshop Manager (Windhoek) – Elite Employment

Job Description

Job Duties:

  • Ensure effective use of equipment and labor ensuring high productivity output
  • Ensure minimum wastage of consumables
  • Check if chargeable materials are recorded on job cards for invoicing
  • Manage testing and correct use of equipment and document security
  • Conduct final quality inspections
  • Train staff to enable high levels of quality and efficiency
  • Allocate jobs fairly and accurately to workshop staff
  • Maintain discipline and attend to grievances
  • Asses performance of staff and ensure that objectives are enforced
  • Conduct operational meetings with staff, to facilitate achievement of objectives and resolution of problems
  • Plan staff leave within policy including leave cover and authorize leave forms
  • Hold Team Briefing Meetings (monthly) to inform staff policy, progress, points for action and people changes affecting them
  • Assist and adhere to health and safety regulations and procedures

Job Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Qualified Trade Diploma
  • Experience with necessary aspects of vehicle mechanics, repairs and electrical work
  • Experience in all aspects of vehicle diagnosis and use of diagnostic equipment
  • 6 years relevant experience as Workshop Manager
  • Outstanding customer relationship skills
  • Maintaining and optimizing processes aimed at operational efficiency
  • Have supervisory and leadership skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Proficiency in English and Afrikaans
