You will be primarily responsible for the coordination of E8’s recently-awarded grant, funded by the Global Fund, and for driving financial and operational performance of the grant. The successful incumbent will supervise and coordinate all day-to-day activities of the regional grant implementation and management. You should present exceptional management skills to ensure that the grant is effectively and efficiently executed towards the elimination goals, and that financial resources are used in a transparent way, as per the Global Fund’s funding regulations and the Elimination 8 Secretariat’s financial policies. The incumbent will collaborate closely with the Director of the Secretariat and the Elimination 8 Technical Committee to translate strategic guidance into work plans, as well as to coordinate the execution thereof across the eight countries. The position will also function as a key liaison and support point for the programme in relation to financial grant management and budget monitoring. Success in this position will hinge on the ability to adapt to the demands of an evolving organization striving to demonstrate the potential of an innovative model of regional collaboration to accelerate national targets. You will be an innovative problem solver, with a strong work ethic, experienced in interfacing with a wide range of senior officials from governments and donors, and a resilient commitment to supporting the aims and objectives of the SADC region.
