JO0001005 – Commercial Broker

Job Purpose:

  • To grow and develop the Business Bancassurance segment through delivering profitable revenue streams into Commercial and SME clients of PBB and corporate clients where appropriate in CIB

Job Duties:

  • Develop, review and sell insurance products and offerings to the Bank’s Business, Commercial and SME clients
  • Determine annual budgets for Business insurance, down to product and individual and RM level
  • Agree targets with Business banking head, SME and Commercial banking head
  • Achieving budgeted annual revenue targets
  • Renewing Customer Insurance portfolios or arrangements currently in place through the Bank
  • Maximising the insurance revenue opportunities in conjunction with Collateral, VAT, Trade, Agriculture, Business, Commercial and SME bankers relating to customer lending
  • Maximise the penetration into Customers own insurance arrangements by harvesting the Banks Corporate, Commercial and SME client base, thereby reducing leakage of potential revenue
  • Develop and implement campaigns and sales drives to ensure achievement of both
  • Develop insurance opportunities created by Business Bankers on Sales Force
  • Ensure all Bank and Bancassurance staff who are in a position to sell insurance to customers are trained
  • Ensure all new leads and business opportunities are recorded and managed on Sales Force
  • Ensure sales, renewal, premium payment, policy issuing and claims processes for all products and services are developed, recorded and adhered to
  • Ensure all policies are recorded on the Banks Policy management system
  • Ensure accurate recording of Business Bancassurance revenue and sales per product or service
  • Ensure compliance with local insurance regulations
  • Ensure all policies and products are competitive and remain competitive by conducting ongoing market and competitive analysis
  • Ensure all policies and products marketed and sold provide cover that is relevant and in line with good local market standard

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 with a minimum of 25 points
  • Associate of local insurance Institute by examination (or local relevant body)
  • Tertiary qualification e.g. Commercial degree / qualification is an advantage
  • A minimum of 5 years previous experience in a Commercial insurance environment
  • Must have dealt with customers / clients in a service and / or sales capacity
