Area Manager – Windhoek – Truworths – Namibia

Job description

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with proven retail management experience and the ability to work within a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. This focused and experienced retail professional, must share our commitment to fashion, quality and customer service excellence and will assist in maximizing turnover and profits; controlling expenses within budget and improving the visual appeal and customer service of all stores based in his/her area. The incumbent will be responsible for managing and meeting KPI’s in 6-8 stores.

Ideally, applicants for the position should meet the following key requirements and competencies:

  • 3-5 years previous Area Management experience in a fashion retail environment
  • Matric (A business related qualification will be an advantage)
  • Strong retail business acumen and trader mentality
  • Target and turnover driven, while being security conscious
  • Solutions focused problem solving skills
  • Good administration, planning and time management skills
  • Excellent people management and IR skills
  • Good interviewing and recruitment skills
  • Strong leadership, training and coaching skills – able to motivate and inspire
  • Energetic, self-motivated and resilient with a flair for fashion
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (computer literate)
  • Knowledge of merchandising principles and fashion
  • Ability to travel to stores
  • Valid drivers license
